Whether your hedges are growing for aesthetic value or play an important role in boundary designation, they still require maintenance from time to time. This is true for both our residential and commercial clients in Camberley, Ascot and the surrounding areas we cover across Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey. Our tree surgeons at Prunus Tree Care & Landscape Services complete hedge cutting work in these locations, along with stump grinding, tree removal, and site clearances.
From ornamental hedges that add charm and character to overgrown boundaries which impede your outdoor space, we offer the following:
Hedges are ideal for home and property owners looking for privacy without the blandness of brick walls. Established hedges will also hold their own against strong winds, protecting flower beds and surrounding vegetation from the effects of harsh weather conditions. But maintaining them can be time-consuming and thankless, especially if you’re unsure about what you’re doing.
Hacking away at overgrown branches can affect the overall health of a hedge, so it’s not advisable. Our tree surgeons follow a tried and tested process and understand that each hedge variety will require a different hedge-trimming process. Using more effective machinery, we can finish the job in considerably less time.
In addition, any form of hedge pruning or specialist hedge shaping must be done with health and safety in mind. Hedge cutting at height, for example, isn’t as simple as standing on a small stepladder and overreaching. Whilst using ladders, we also employ specialist equipment to guarantee the safety of our arborists at all times.
For Camberley and Ascot clients planning to remove a hedge and other vegetation to facilitate further landscaping or property development, we can also remove hedges and roots whilst ensuring all underground utilities are not affected.
As part of our tree surgery and hedge cutting services, we also clear the area of all branches, chippings, and miscellaneous green waste once finished. This saves you time and effort and leaves you with a neat hedge and clear garden space that can be enjoyed to its fullest immediately.
Please note that under the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981, it is advisable not to perform any hedge trimming work between 1st March and 31st July. This is to facilitate the bird breeding season. Exceptions include where the hedge is dead or incurably diseased, its growth is a risk to public safety, it remains an obstruction for drivers, or it is less than six months old and requires formative pruning. Our tree surgeons at Prunus Tree Care & Landscape Services are happy to advise you further in this regard.
